Egyptian law enforcement agencies reported that the recent clashes in downtown Cairo at least 16 people placed under arrest. They are accused of disobeying authorities, government buildings, arson, damage to private and public property, storage and use of explosives and flammable substances.
The subsequent fate of those arrested will be resolved in court in the next two days. Previously, prosecutors announced their intention to participate in the investigation of the collision between the protesters and the military engaged in guarding the building the Council of Ministers and Parliament.
In total, according to the Ministry of Health of Egypt, as a result of violent clashes of protesters and soldiers in the streets of Qasr al-Aini in downtown Cairo killing 11 people, wounds of varying severity received more than 400 demonstrators.
